Queer Rotterdam in Bloom

This winter, Queer Rotterdam is in bloom 

The coming months, Queer Rotterdam is going to work on becoming a foundation (stichting) and applying for funds. We are planning on using these resources to find a space, so we are able to host more and more regular activities. In addition we are setting up a structure for a mutual aid programme. We are asking for donations to be able to start the first phase, the main expense of which is in becoming a stichting

For about 1,5 years we were in hibernation mode - we’ve missed you! The past months we’ve slowly left our caves and started organising again: outside picnics, small game nights and craft sessions. However, we feel that with so many of us living in uncertain positions in these overwhelming and chaotic times, the community needs more. We want to be able to offer more: a place to come for support, an address where you know you will find someone willing to help you, resources to pay organisers and artists, a platform for new initiatives. In order to achieve that, Queer Rotterdam will be growing
 

For transparency's sake: we are fundraising for the following goals

• Paying a notary to legalise our foundation

• Registering our foundation at Kamer van Koophandel

• Starting a Queer Rotterdam bank account

• Potentially: funding the first month(s) of renting a space
