Help Ukraine!

Hi Futurewhiz Employees!

Since the current situation in Ukraine is so disturbing and we have multiple colleagues from Ukraine, we really felt the need to do something. We heard about Iuliia, our colleague, and what she is currently doing to help her family and friends in/from Ukraine. We thought it would be great if we as her colleagues could support her.

We've arranged with Serge and Michiel that any amount of money that we raise in the coming two weeks get's doubled by the company!

My name in Iuliia Izhetska. I live with my family in Purmerend and we have friends and family who are still in Ukraine.

Some of our families members managed to come here and for now we have 4 adults and 3 kids (age 5, 4 and 2) who stay at our home and at our friends’ home here in Purmerend. We have enough food and clothes for them for now. We still don’t know how many people will come to stay with us in next days and weeks - I am checking every couple of hours with my friends who are still in Ukraine.

It’s not easy to leave - there are a lot of people at stations and not so many trains. Roads can be blocked with soldiers - there are cases of shooting at cars. So you cannot know what is the safest way - to stay or to leave.

What we need right now: actually the best thing for now would be money. To be able to visit doctor, to buy medicine and to be able to close urgent needs if they appear.

I want to tell you about our angels in Ukraine - our dear friends that stayed there and are helping people now with anything they can:

Yevgen Matsutsa - our dear pastor and friend and for ages. His wife and 2 daughters are stating at our friends’ home in Purmerend while Yevgen organised 2 shelters by his own efforts and money for people in our home town Khmelnytskyi. He is trying to organise the 3rd one. They give place to sleep and food to people who had to flee from eastern parts of Ukraine. My dear friend Andrii Rodin sent his wife and child to Poland and conducts volunteer activities in Khmelnytskyi city. He brings food and medicine to elderly people who cannot leave home, he helps with fuel to those families who flee by car. He helped my mom when she was sitting alone in shock in her apparent and brought her to the bus station, bought her ticket here. They both can speak English so you can talk to them if you want. Those two men are my trusted friends and angels, they helped my mom and many other people. I assure that with our help they will be able to help much more.

I am so grateful for people of Netherlands, they have such huge hearts, I am amazed how big they are. I feel that we Ukrainians are not dealing with this war by ourselves - you help us!

And in this situation we all try to do what we can - small good deed or small donation - does a GREAT job.

We will try to raise €1000,- in the coming 2 weeks for Iuliia and her friends so they are able to cover the expenses (doctor, medication, food, clothes etc.) they'll have to make to care for the families they took in their houses for the coming months.
